Hi, I’m Meagan, founder of Aus. PA Advocacy.
I’m a former alienated child from Western Australia, and parental alienation is not something I understand only through research, it is something I have lived.
I grew up in a large family and experienced parental alienation across multiple family dynamics. As one of six siblings, I saw firsthand how the same environment could impact each child differently. Some of us responded with anger, some with loyalty, some with confusion, and some with silence. That lived experience shaped the way I understand parental alienation today: complex, painful, and deeply misunderstood.
For many years, I carried beliefs, narratives, and fears that were never truly my own. Like many alienated children, I believed I was protecting myself and the people around me. It took time, maturity, life experience, and a willingness to question everything I thought I knew.
My story of reunification was not instant, easy, or perfect. It required difficult conversations, unlearning unhealthy patterns, and rebuilding trust over time. But it changed everything. It gave me a deeper understanding of how parental alienation affects not just parent child relationships, but identity, attachment, mental health, and generational cycles.
Today, I advocate from both lived experience and education. I am currently studying psychology and committed to better understanding human behaviour, family systems, trauma, attachment, and child development.
I created Aus. PA Advocacy to bring awareness, education, and honest conversation to one of the most misunderstood family dynamics in Australia.
My goal is simple: To help people better understand parental alienation. To support families navigating it. And most importantly, to protect the emotional wellbeing of children.
This platform is neutral, evidence informed, and grounded in compassion.
I believe children deserve to feel safe, loved, and supported and to have the freedom to form healthy relationships without fear, pressure, or loyalty conflicts.
No shame. No blame. Just honest conversation, education, and support.
You are not alone.
